Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Alcyone Guest House website and services. By accessing our website or making a booking with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Booking and Reservation Policy

Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once you have received a written confirmation from us and we have received your deposit payment. We reserve the right to refuse any booking before confirmation has been sent.

Deposit and Payment

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due upon arrival. All payments must be made in South African Rand (ZAR). We accept cash, credit/debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), and electronic bank transfers.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Cancellations made more than 1 week before check-in: Full refund
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours but less than 1 week before check-in: 50% refund
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival: No refund

In case of emergencies or exceptional circumstances, please contact us directly. We may, at our discretion, offer more flexible terms.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in time is from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Check-out time is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

If you plan to arrive outside our standard check-in hours, please inform us in advance so we can make necessary arrangements.

House Rules

During your stay at Alcyone Guest House, we ask that you observe the following rules:

• No smoking inside the rooms or buildings. Designated smoking areas are provided outside.
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• No pets are allowed on the premises.
• Guests are responsible for any damage to the property or its contents during their stay and will be charged accordingly.
• The management reserves the right to ask any guest to leave if they are causing a disturbance to other guests or staff.

Liability

Alcyone Guest House accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury to guests or their belongings during their stay, except where such loss, damage, or injury is caused by our negligence.

Guests are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance to cover any potential losses or medical emergencies.
